The core mission of American Legacies Org, is preservation through storytelling. Rather than focusing only on physical historic sites, American Legacies Org, Inc. preserves family memories, oral histories, photographs, diaries, recipes, wartime stories, and other records that might otherwise be lost.

Our work is and will remain publicly accessible. We provide a free platform where individuals can submit and read stories, making local history available to the public rather than keeping it in private collections.

We rely on volunteers. The organization emphasizes volunteer involvement in interviewing, editing, digitizing, preserving, and publishing historical materials.

Our preservation efforts extend beyond the website. We are preserving donated photographs, diaries, letters, books, and historical materials, as well as maintaining multiple backups to safeguard these records for future generations.

We also provide community services, including holiday meals for seniors and other volunteer-driven support, which offers community engagement beyond historical preservation.
