This is from a Newspaper clipping submitted to U S Legacies Magazine. We have no idea what Newspaper it is from or when it was clipped . We believe that is was printed sometime between 1933 and 1935.
The Title, in large Bold print has: Lulu Belle
There is a picture of Lulu Belle in a diagonally stripped, long sleeve dress. She is holding an acoustic guitar and singing. The caption under the picture reads:
SHE IS THE BELLE OF THE BARN DANCE
Under the picture, in bold type, it states: Every Saturday Night
Under that, in bold italics, the ad proclaims: Hear It Over
Then under that caption, in large Bold lettering, the ad proclaims: 30 NBC Stations
And below that, in Bold Italics the ad states: Coast-to-Coast
The ad states, in italics, a number of artists that will be on the show, then names many of them. The ad also asserts that the program will be “rollicking” and “homespun fun,” originating from Chicago on radio station WLS and the station that it will be broadcast on, also in large bold type, followed by the time of the broadcast:
