I never believed in reincarnation mostly due to my upbringing. When we die we go to Heaven or Hell. In these last few months my beliefs haven’t changed towards the Almighty God, but I have begun to see how those loved ones that have passed on can come back to finish what needs to be finished and say what needs to be said.

June is usually a graduation and wedding month. My wedding was to be a June wedding, but when my

fiancee asked me what I wanted for my April 4th birthday, I said, Why not get married now rather than wait until June? The following is how the wedding got off the ground. The first part is documented by Myra Riley, my mother.

Plain Dressing for Chicken or Turkey

1 cup stale bread crumbs

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Grated rind of half a lemon

1 teaspoon mixed herbs

1/3 cup melted butter or suet

1/2 cup scalding water or milk

Salt and pepper

Crumble the bread finely, add the parsley, lemon rind, herbs, salt and pepper. Chop the suet and add to the other ingredients; or if butter is used, melt it in the water or milk and add, mixing well. Fill the body of the bird with the dressing.

For stuffing turkey, double all the ingredients.

Apart from the cemeteries and memorials, to the trained eye there is little sign of where the front lines were. Occasionally though a shallow depression, a crater that has remained unfilled, fragments of metal, shrapnel or pieces of barbed wire are still reminders. Scenes that to this day remain vivid to the veterans who were there.

Most of the time when researching your families, you find information which has been provided by others. This information can be found as notes left at your genealogical or historical society or library, published information which was taken from other records, (such as church or cemetery records), or actual published genealogies. All of this information is valuable, although care must be taken in accepting some of this data.

His face underwent an incredible metamorphosis as I entered the room.

I knew from the nurse’s note that he suffered from a painful and swollen knee, and as I drew back the examining room's curtain, his appearance fit such a man.
